Why are my effective VO2max values grayed out?
Some activities produce unreliable estimates for your Effective VO2max, especially in particularly challenging conditions (very warm/cold/windy, challenging terrain, ...). Therefore, individual activities can be ignored for shape calculation via the "Use for VO2max shape" checkbox.
By default, runs started on the watch as "Trail Run" are automatically ignored for the shape calculation. This is because the pace-hr ratio, on which the VO2max estimate is based, is significantly worse than usual on difficult trails.
If you want your trail runs to be included in the shape calculation as normal, you can set this in your configuration. However, this only applies to all future activities. For existing activities, you have to manually check the "Use for VO2max shape" box again.
